Mercedes
Name: ~Mercedes~

Breed: Borzoi

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 4 1/2 years old

Comments: The beautiful Mercedes is my rescue girl, found at 15 months in a cage in terrible condition, afraid of everyone and everything. Today she is the social butterfly of our group, the first one to meet a stranger. As a working therapy dog Mercedes is always a hit where ever we visit, especially when she is accompanied by her tiny companion, Morgan. Three weeks after Mercedes' AD diagnosis she underwent surgery for bloat and stomach torsion. She's got a tough road ahead but she's been through worse and with her spirited approach to life she's well on her way to full healing.

Mocha
Name: ~Mocha~

Breed: Vizsla (Hungarian Pointer)

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 5 months old

Comments: Mocha was born on Dec 30th, 1999. We brought her home when she was 8 weeks old & fell in love with her. She immediately became a part of our family. When she was in the hospital for two weeks before she was diagnosed, my husband or myself would stop by to spend time with her everyday. One time my husband was able to visit before work and called me at work to brag about how he got to have some "Mocha Love" today. Because she is a growing puppy, we're still dealing with side effects and modifying the medication. She still likes to play, fetch, chase the birds, eat, go on walks, drink, snuggle and eat.

Molly
Name: ~Molly~

Breed: Cock-a-poo

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 8 years old

Comments: Molly is a 9 year old Cock-a-poo diagnosed 2/00. She always wears a pink bow on her collar, for she is such a lady! She feels great now on her daily medications and we look forward to spending many more
loving years with her!

Rex
Name: ~Rex~

Breed: Scottish Terrier

Sex: Male

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 2 years old

Comments: Say "hello" to Rex - my new "boyfriend". Born in Wales, he arrived in Canada 3 1/2 yrs ago with his original owner. When returning to England, the decision was made to leave this happy, energetic 1 1/2 yr old behind to avoid the mandatory 6 month quarantine. Homeless, Rex was headed to a shelter via my cousin's Pet Taxi service, and my 2nd rescue had arrived!! Fate stepped in, for within 4 months he was quickly diagnosed with Addison's.
He surely would have gone undiagnosed in quarantine.

Mu Shu
Name: ~Moo Shu~

Breed: Chow Chow

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 8 months old

Comments: Moo is a female red rough chow of course, she was diagnosed at 8 months, but I suspect she had it longer than that in retrospect.
She takes 2mg of pred/day and that's all.
Her mom and dad love their special needs Chow!
