Fresca
Name: ~Fresca~

Breed: German Shepherd

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: Almost 4 years old

Comments: While hindsight has shown us that the symptom's were there all along, we did not know of Addison's until she crashed Jan 8th. The time between Jan 8th and Jan 22nd seemed like an infinity waiting for her to come back from the brink of death! Will be doing much research and public education on this disease!

Lady Di
Name: ~Lady Di~

Breed: Akita

Sex: Female

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 2 years, one month old

Comments: Lady Di was diagnosed one month after her second birthday. She was near death but thanks to a wonderful vet she made it through. Lady Di has had many ups and downs but always maintains her happy
personality. She loves everyone and everyone loves her.

Fritz
Name: ~Fritz~

Breed:Collie X Golden Retriever

Sex: Male

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 5 years old

Comments: Fritz was diagnosed w/Addison's right before Christmas 1999. He had not felt good for well over a year, and everybody just dismissed his various symptoms. The best Christmas present ever was knowing hewas going to survive his "crash", and finding a vet who realized what was going on.  Fritz is a very loving guy, who never complains, tries his best to please even when he doesn't feel good, and is not content unless everybody around is happy. He is a Registered Therapy Dog for two organizations - a local major hospital, and Therapy Dogs International.

Peanut Butter
Name: ~Peanut Butter~

Breed: Chinese Shar Pei

Sex: Male

Age Diagnosed w/Addison's: 11 years old

Comments: "Hi! I'm Peanut Butter, born in Las Vegas, Nevada, Jan. 1990 and now living on Ohio. I had to have minor surgery last May 2001 (a cyst on my butt, how embarassing!) and just went downhill from there. My vet, Cindi, diagnosed me with Addison's in June and I have been on DOCP since. She stopped the pred. though because of excessive thirst and weight gain.
My Favorite things: Sleeping, eating and a daily walk.
Least favorite: Dieting, though I do love Flint River Ranch.
Thanks Susan and Mel for a great site!!!" Peanut and Mom Lynn
